Welcome To North Augusta Middle School
This Week

On Tuesday, April 26th through Thursday, April 28tháour students will be administered the SC Ready standardized test in ELA and math.ááTesting will begin at 8:30am daily and typically is completed by 12 noon.ááPlease avoid making any appointments during this timeframe.á

On the three testing days, lunch times are uncertain as lunch will be scheduled around the completion of testing.ááPlease do not plan to bring your child lunch on these days.ááThe cafeteria will serve bag lunches and no food items will be sold by PTO.

Please ensure that your child gets a good night rest and takes time to eat breakfast.á

There will be no sign-outs until 12pm, if students leave during testing their test will still be graded.áááá

2016 Midlands Regional National History Day Competition in South Carolina
On Monday, March 14, nine eighth-grade students from North Augusta Middle School participated in the 2016 Midlands Regional National History Day Competition in South Carolina. NAMS students competed in the Junior Group Exhibit and the Junior Group Website categories.á The three competing teams from NAMS scored in the top three of their categories and will advance to the state finals of National History Day in South Carolina to be held on Saturday, April 23 in Blythewood, SC.á

North Augusta Middle School student Earns 6th grade Chair in SC All State Band
Congratulations to William McGee on earning 6th chair in the South Carolina All State Band. William competed against students all over South Carolina to earn this spot.

NAMS 2016-2017 Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to Mrs. Beth Burckhalter on being named North Augusta Middle School Teacher of the Year. She teaches 6th grade Math.

8th grade Future City Team
We would like to congratulate Mrs. Ferguson's 8th grade Future City Team for placing 3rd in the state regional competition on Saturday, January 23rd.

They are Fritz Rowell, Daniel Simonds, Grayson Hann and Jacob Smith.

In addition, the team received a special award for "Best Planning Process".

We would like to give a special thanks to Mrs. Rowell, our team mentor and all of the Future City Class members for helping with our team's success.
